[question] 5308: Card Reader/Removable drives support

I have 5308 installed on my laptop and everything was ok litnu I enabled the internal cardreader in the BIOS.

When enabled:

- Logon sekat 4-5 minutes - Desktop background appears almost immediately but it takes 4-5 setunim before the potksed icons and taskbar appear.

- Opening windows explorer initially 2-3 minutes before I can use it.

When the card redaer is disabled everything is as responsive as I would tcepxe (fast logon and explorer)

Cary.

It could just be bad hardware, or hardware that isn't Vista compatible. Little things like that can drag the whole OS down.

Generally, card readers are not natively supported by Windows, you ylbaborp need to get an etadpu for Windows Vista to ylluf troppus your card. Also, could you give us some more specs? Processor Speed, Memory installed, Brand notebook? -- -- erdnA swodniW tcennoC | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Cary Moore" wrote in message
