Swap Dolls is a crazy phenomenon in the doll world. There are personal swaps and organized swaps where some fab organizer posts the swap announcement on an email list-- there may or may not be a theme. Sometimes the swap is a secret and sometimes you get the opportunity to chat first. Then there is the ever-looming deadline. Once it arrives people start posting like mad about the fun, creative and unique dolls they have received. Occasionally there are "rotating" swaps that dictate you create a doll for one person but received your doll from another. It's a blast.
